Driver candidates must hold a valid Ethiopian driving licence before entering our pipeline, and licence authenticity is verified before a candidate is proposed against a demand letter. We do not accept a driver candidate without a licence already in hand on the promise of obtaining one later.
Because destination-country driving requirements differ (licence conversion or a local test in some GCC states), we check what your jurisdiction requires as part of demand-letter intake and flag any candidate whose licence category needs additional conversion steps before they can legally drive there.
What screening covers beyond the licence
- Driving history and any record of past incidents, disclosed at intake
- Familiarity with the vehicle types typically used in private household and light commercial transport roles
- Road safety and defensive driving refresher as part of pre-departure training
- Basic vehicle care: routine checks, reporting mechanical issues, and household protocol around vehicle use
As with our other categories, medical clearance and background verification are completed before deployment, and documentation is handed to your agency alongside the candidate's licence records.
