Candidates in our household cook category are assessed on practical cooking ability, not paperwork alone. Screening includes a hands-on cooking assessment at our Addis Ababa facility, covering knife skills, basic hygiene practice, and the ability to follow a recipe or a household's stated preferences without direct supervision.
Regional cuisine matching is handled at the demand-letter stage. If your client household requires familiarity with Gulf, Levantine, South Asian, or Western cooking styles, tell us in the demand letter and we source and, where needed, provide supplemental culinary training against that specification before deployment.
What the role covers on placement
- Daily meal planning and preparation for a household of typical GCC family size
- Food safety and storage practice suited to household kitchens rather than commercial ones
- Dietary accommodation: religious dietary rules, allergies, and family-specific preferences noted in the demand letter
- Basic kitchen inventory management and communicating shopping needs to the household
As with all categories, medical clearance and identity verification are completed before training, and the full documentation set is handed to your agency at deployment.
